Who You Are
-
A professional gardener with certification in pruning - e.g. ISA/Plant Amnesty, UW Botanic Gardens ProHort, or equivalent.

Passionate about aesthetic and structural pruning, shrub care, and maintaining plant health to luxury estate standards.

Skilled in performing scientifically informed, detail-driven work—especially fine pruning, deadheading, hedge shaping, tree maintenance, and rose care.

Meticulous, proactive, with an eye for quality and client relations.
Key Responsibilities

Perform expert pruning of trees, shrubs, roses, perennials, including structural cuts, crown cleaning, deadheading, aesthetic shaping, and rejuvenation.

Maintain and enhance the health and beauty of estate grounds: fertilizing, irrigation adjustments, drainage inspections, lighting upkeep, and more.

Conduct regular site visits, communicate clearly with clients about plant care needs, seasonal adjustments, and project opportunities.

Lead a small team of pruning and bed care professionals.

Collaborate with Estate Gardener and Lawn Care Leads to execute integrated outdoor care plans.

Operate and maintain horticultural tools safely and properly; maintain equipment logs.

Requirements

Pruning certification: e.g. ISA Certified Arborist or PlantAmnesty Master Pruner Series (UW Botanic Gardens).

Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential or estate gardening with a luxury/home-owner focus.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to work outdoors, year-round.

Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
